With Connection, Care & Confidence

Hi-I’m Emerald! I am so glad you are here. I am family nurse practitioner dedicated to helping those heal from trauma. My work involves a mix of eastern & western medicine as well as bridging the gap between physical & mental health. I am a firm believer that physical health & mental health cannot be separated.

My philosophy as an FNP is that you are already whole. I believe many hold deep emotional pains inside their mind & body that trap them from seeing and being their true authentic self . I help you to regain your focus & energy so that you can be confident in your decisions & live your best life. I give you tools & resources to help yourself while also helping others around you.

I am also extremely passionate about helping those who struggle or has a loved on who struggles from addiction. I do not merely focus on the addiction, I focus on the pain that keeps one stuck.

About Me

I started my medical career as an emergency department RN, where 1 was there for 10 years. I loved the fast paced, adrenaline rush of saving lives and helping people while dealing with their emergency. I have always been drawn to those who struggle with mental health. I sadly have had a few family members pass away from substance abuse & currently have another who struggles. After starting a family, I continued on my career path and started a business in Aesthetic Medicine. It was here where I really began to see the interplay between inner & outer beauty. I started to ask what makes someone want to care for themselves or become addicted to self care.

During that time I decided to go back to school & became a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Simmons University in Boston. Family Nurse Practitioners are trained to see the whole person and can care for all ages from birth to death. I then advanced my training in trauma informed care, addiction medicine and integrative mental health. I became X-wavered and hold certifications in clinical trauma (CCTP) and mental health integrative medicine (CMHIMP). Additionally I hold a certification in psychedelic integration. I do not condone the use of illegal substances but I follow the work of MAPS and know that psychedelic medicine has helped many but some have been traumatized by them. I work with both sides of healing with these medicines as well as healing from the trauma of them.

My practice specializes in bridging the gap between eastern and western medicine as well as bridging the gap between the mind, body & soul. To book an appointment with me, click here.

You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breath. You are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.

BEAUTIFUL MIND

Unpopular to modern belief & medicine- the mind & body are actually connected! Do you at times feel out of control with your thoughts and it’s difficult to make decisions? When we have a loved one struggling with addiction, it feels so overwhelming. I’m here to tell you YOU AREN’T ALONE. We are incredible humans that are adapting, evolving & in desperate need of love & connection. When basic needs or trauma in life have entered - we can feel overwhelmed, we lose trust in ourselves and even feel confused. Sometimes we may even connect better with animals than humans because we feel safer there. Through a personalized care approach, I help move you to gain your peace of mind back. When you feel good on the inside, you begin to glow on the outside. To learn more about mind, body soul healing click here.

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
